鳥取 小鹿渓 Tottori oshikakei Oshikakei Gorge

Jp En

Oshikakei located in Misasa-cho, Tohaku-gun, Tottori Prefecture is a 4 km gorge along the upstream of the Oshika River, a tributary of the Mitoku River. It is a popular hiking course and a place of relaxation and refreshment, where hikers can enjoy bountiful nature that changes from season to season. It is a place of scenic beauty with waterfalls gushing down the rocky cliffs and many deep pools and oddly-shaped rocks. Surrounded with primary forests of oak, chestnut and beech trees, visitors can enjoy changes of the seasons; fresh green in spring, alpine roses in early summer and crimson foliage in fall. The contrast made of red and yellow leaves in fall is especially beautiful. Listening to the murmuring of the stream, visitors can enjoy walking along the promenade arranged from Momiji-no-sato Observation Park.
